I leave for Vegas tomorrow morning. Add Sexyback.
Remember when I used to write?
A fine account of a trip to Vegas if I may say. This one can only be better because it features a live fantasy football draft at high noon on Saturday. A conference room at the Flamingo has been reserved for the occasion. We take this (too?) seriously.
Let's quickly refresh the rules I came up with after the April trip.
Rules for next Vegas trip:
1)No Makaela
2)No Coyote Ugly
3)Wear dark shoes and collared shirt every night out just in case
4)No fucking around with anything but straight whiskey
5)Must visit Toby Keith's "I Love This Bar...and Grill"
Makaela is graciously passing on this trip. I won't go to Coyote Ugly. I have two new pairs of dark shoes to wear out. Whiskey is delicious. I do believe I shall check out Toby Keith's "I Love This Bar...and Grill" for lunch or dinner tomorrow.
Probably dinner because lunch is going to be liquid. Just like the astronauts in that sense. I feel that I can pass through the "get drunk-sober up" cycle of fun at least twice tomorrow. Sobering up will be centered around a gigantic dinner. This trip will also mark a weekend return to tobacco which I haven't had in a while. Welcome back into my life.
I'm fired up for this trip, so I will probably have a bad time. That's Vegas for you.
And now, for some thoughts on Justin Timberlake's "Sexyback".
Justin has to take care of the clubs first. That's where he hangs out. It makes sense. I'm fine with this as a single.
Upon seeing the video for this single Makaela had some interesting observations. Mainly, it's a lot harder bringing sexy back than you might think. In the video Justin is hanging on the ledges of hotel windows avoiding bombs and assassins. He wears a pained expression on his face the entire time. The weight of the sexy world is on his shoulders. Then he is forced to give it to the leading lady rough. The kind of rough where you roll the r and bark it like a dog. All in all some tough stuff. Thank you JT for fighting the good fight!
The next video that came on was Jewel's most recent song. It inspired an all time Makaela quip, "She's the one who took sexy away." Makaela everybody. Keeps me on my toes.
